Effect of Salts on the Activity of Phage Under the Irradiatoin of Ultraviolet ray

Abstract
|
|
|
Tht author has investigated the effect of salts on the activity of Klebsiella phage under the irradiation of ultraviolet ray and obtained the fellowing results.
The salts have protected .the activity of phage against the inactivatingaction of ultraviolet ray and the order, stronger to weaker, is that; KHO₂.KN0₂, NaCl and MgSO₄.
The anion of salt seems to do main role for protecting of phage.
On the pretecting of phage of salts, no any additive action between the mono and divalent salt was found.
